The state of Vermont in New England has seen a great revolution ever since it opened its doors to home owners back in the 1850’s. Today, adding to the revolution is the latest fad that has people having their homes and offices follow eco friendly means towards a cleaner and greener environment. This latest technique employed rotates around sustainable architecture which follows the strict guidelines stipulated by the United States Federal Government and Environmental Protection Agency. The techniques that are implemented in Vermont Sustainable Architecture have seen the likes of many designers contributing their expertise towards this revolutionary concept.
Vermont architects have focused mainly on the principle of energy and water conservation by employing measures that include standard regulated techniques which have no adverse affect on the environment. One of the most appreciated and accredited techniques applied include the installation of solar and heating panels to save energy. These concepts are not relatively new; however, when amalgamated with the latest trends in home development, they render themselves to be worth every penny. Other eco friendly principles that are employed consist of waste recycling and energy efficient furnishings. These furnishings which are part of the Vermont Sustainable Architecture include utilizing low volatile organic chemicals in adhesives, paints and carpets. Water conservation is another additional feature that is established as a new asset in sustainable architecture.
It is estimated that by 2030, the entire state of Vermont will be made eco friendly with these techniques to be employed in saving the environment. As engineers and architects consistently work hard to accomplish their set goals, the managing committee of the Vermont Sustainable Architecture Association diligently plans their next move while keeping in mind their main objectives of energy and water conservation.
